John, If You're Out There

John, If You're Out There

John, If You're Out There is a Wellington based progressive rock band formed by Simon Rofe, Zach Furlan & Brendon Rofe. Starting out with more a straight forward rock orientated sound based off of influences like Pearl Jam the band decided to try a new direction delving more into their progressive influences such as Pink Floyd, Steven Wilson and Opeth. Combining their love of unusual song structures with their love of the both metal and melodic rock their new style evolved into longer songs often with soft melancholic beginnings that transform into harder distorted endings. The band recorded their debut album "Dead and Gone" at Tsunami Studios in 2017. Now featuring an all new line up Simon is joined by Karl Rogers, Max Beauchamp and Matthew Landmark who share the original vision of a band that leans towards progressive rock and metal that isn't afraid to experiment with their sound.
